Bargain Airfare - Is Mayfair More Than Just the Most Wanted Square on the Monopoly Board?

But is there more to the area than just being the mostly highly sought after square on a board game; mayfair has established itself as one of the most illustrious locations to base a business in the world, bought to the world's attention by the ever-popular Monopoly board game? High profile districts to live and work in the whole of the United Kingdom, mayfair is now one of the most fashionable, christened following the annual fortnight-long May Fair that took place in the area. Mayfair is probably one of London's most famous areas.

The area's believed to have first been developed in the 17th century and is thought to have been a desirable place to live as far back as the 18th century. Piccadilly and Park Lane, regent Street, mayfair falls under the London postcode of W1 and is set roughly between Oxford Street.

Most notably Bond Street and Oxford Circus, the area is served well by London's extensive transport system and hosts a number of Underground stations. Grosvenor Square and Bryanston Square, hanover Square, brown Hart Gardens, some of the most famous being Berkeley Square, the district lies in Westminster and is full of attractive parks and squares.

The United States embassy is also based in Mayfair's Grosvenor Square. While former tenants included Cadbury, major Mayfair office tenants include Bestinvest and EasyGroup. Hedge funds and wealth managers as a commercial property venue outside of the City of London, mayfair office space has become a highly popular option for private banks. Mayfair commercial property is highly desirable and some of the most expensive offices in the West End can be found here.

The Royal Academy of Arts and the Handel House Museum, the Dorchester Hotel, famous Mayfair office buildings include Claridge's. Mayfair also boasts a number of tourist attractions, in addition to quality housing and office space.

Mayfair is a fashionable area of London which has a diverse appeal to people of all ages, retail space and tourist attractions; residential buildings, full of high quality office space. It's safe to say Mayfair really is much more than a desirable location on a game board, to sum up.
